In preparation of the GSF Galaxy III’s health promotion month, the crew chose, “Against Breast Cancer,” as the charity to benefit from a 30-day fundraiser. Men and women around the rig wore their “Against Breast Cancer,” T-shirts to create promotion and awareness for the fundraising efforts. The chosen non-profit funds research to find a cure for breast cancer.
Together, the crew in the U.K. raised £1,000, over USD $1,550, to donate to the charity. The fundraiser was an effort everyone had a hand in; even the catering staff on the high-specification jackup made pink cakes and desserts in celebration of the pink charity event.
Thank you, Galaxy III crew, for supporting and donating to a great cause! The rig is currently on the Buzzard Platform working for Nexen.
