Trinidad and Tobago Sector Joins NAM Division

The company’s Trinidad and Tobago Sector, which includes the operation of currently two jackups, joined the company’s North America Division (NAM) on July 1 in a move to ease logistics, technical support and promote client relations.
The sector was previously part of the South America Division (SAM), which, due to recent growth offshore Brazil, is managing a much bigger operation than ever before.
“Moving the Trinidad and Tobago Sector, which is right in between NAM and SAM to begin with, makes sense in terms of easing the logistical and technical support requirements of our co-workers in SAM, and has the added benefit of closer proximity to Trinidad’s main client in Houston where the NAM office is located,” said Chris Ness, Sr. VP, AMU. “We anticipate a very smooth, easy transition for all.”
AMU on July 2 sent an e-mail announcing that Donnie Pirtle, former Trinidad and Tobago Sector Manager, became the North and South America Unit’s Technical Field Support Manager. Regulo Salas, Rig Manager of the GSF Monitor, has been assigned ongoing general management responsibilities for the sector, in addition to his duties as Rig Manager.

“The NAM family is proud to welcome everyone in Trinidad and Tobago to our team,” said Keelan Adamson, NAM Division Manager. “I look forward to working more closely with this region, which already runs very efficiently and has an excellent track record for performance, safety and customer satisfaction.”
