Ninety days after she left the shipyard, the Transocean Andaman (TAM) added to the exceptional safety performance of her sister rig Transocean Siam Driller, which is also working offshore Thailand. The high-specification newbuild TAM is contracted with Chevron for a three-year contract and according to a note from Chevron’s Thailand drilling operations manager, has set the stage for success and expectation for the years to come.
“Congratulations on the Transocean Andaman completing its 90-Day Operations Plan incident-free. This is an outstanding accomplishment for our combined Transocean and Chevron teams. It shows that our companies can work together to develop a plan and follow the plan to deliver outstanding results for us all. Not only did the rig provide outstanding safety performance, they also delivered improving drilling performance and minimal newbuild related downtime. We look forward to continued success together as we deliver safe and efficient wells to ASBU and the Kingdom of Thailand.” said Scott McLeod, Drilling Operations Manager, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production.
