For the fourth year in a row, Transocean’s IT (Information Technology) organization was listed in Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT.
“We are honored to be named, again, as one of the best places to work in IT,” said John Truschinger, Senior Vice President, Support Services, and Chief Information Officer. “Being listed in the top 10, seventh overall, recognizes our dedicated employees and IT management at Transocean, who together constitute one of the best IT organizations anywhere.”
“Like all departments within Transocean, IT is aligned with our company core values and vision regarding our People, Customers and Execution,” said John. “To be recognized nationally throughout the U.S. for our work environment and company offerings is confirmation that we truly stand out above the rest.”
“This well-deserved recognition by Computerworld underscores our high standards and the IT team’s pursuit of creating the best working environment for our people,” said Ihab Toma, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff. “We are thrilled to be recognized for four consecutive years.”
Computerworld’s annual list of “Best Places to Work in Information Technology” ranks the top 100 work environments in the U.S. for technology professionals based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, and retention. As part of the selection process, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
