The two-day annual charity event held at the Piperdam Golf and Leisure resort in Scotland for Transocean’s U.K. North Sea division (NRS) offshore and onshore personnel is a fantastic opportunity to bring their families along to partake in activities such as golfing, clay pigeon shooting, fishing and outdoor adventure activities such as quad biking and archery.
The Piperdam charity event allows employees to engage outside the office while also raising awareness and fundraising support for some worthwhile local causes. This year during the two-day event, the North Sea Division raised GBP £21,628.00, nearly USD $34,000, which was split between Cancer Research UK, the Coronary Care Unit at Aberdeen Hospital, CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) and Yorkhill Hospitals Children’s Foundation.
For the first time in several years the Scottish weather was in full force with a downpour of rain in the morning of each event; however, this did not dampen the spirits of those attending or the organizers. By the afternoon, the sun was out and employees were able to enjoy the outdoor activities and participate in yet another successful Piperdam Charity event weekend.
A special thank you goes to the event volunteers: Tegan Harley, North Sea Training Coordinator; Allana Black, Administrator Projects; Arlene Watt, Workforce Manager, NRS; Diane Lavery, Senior Recruiter, NRS; Alexis Hay, Workforce Planning Manager, NRS; Jane Keenan, Executive PA NRS; Maureen Duguid, Technical Analyst, NRS; Jackie Bessey, Senior Bid Coordinator, NRS; Cara Aitchison, ADTI Marketing Coordinator; Sarah Hall, Summer Intern; Darlene Burr, Senior Financial Analyst; Leanne Small Data Analyst; and especially the lead organizers Dave McEwen, HR Manager, and Lyndsay Docherty, HR Administrator.
