Transocean’s North Sea Division raised £18,000 (USD$29,000) in support of several charities during a day of sporting activities at the Piperdam Leisure Centre. More than 200 guests, which included employees, clients and suppliers, participated in golf, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, rifle shooting and archery. The money was presented to Diabetes UK, Children’s Hospice Association Scotland, Holy Family Primary School, Forget-Me-Not Club for Dementia Support and Home-Start Deeside, which provides volunteers who regularly visit families in their own homes to offer practical help, support and friendship.
“We were overwhelmed by the generosity of this donation from Transocean,” said Logan Sangster, Home-Start Deeside. “It is the best individual donation we have had in all the 14 years the Summer Marquee Fundraising Ball has been running. Please pass on my thanks to all the team involved in your amazing achievement at Piperdam.”
Over the past 10 years of hosting outings at Piperdam, Transocean has raised well over £100,000 (USD$161,000) for various good causes.
