​Egypt: Scoring for Sportsmanship

Transocean participated in the 5th Ramadan Petroleum Soccer Tournament 2011 organized by Egypt Oil & Gas. The Ramadan Football Tournament takes place each year during the holy month of Ramadan.

This is the first year Transocean participated and the team progressed to the quarter final, having come from behind twice in games to win. The team won the Fair Play award for the tournament.

“When watching any of their games, one could see their spirit and attitude and how they would heartily shake hands with their competitors in the soccer pitch after every match; either to wish them better luck when losing or to congratulate them for winning,” said Mark Bessell, Managing Director, Mediterranean Division.
