Tim Kelley

Supply Chain Manager- Houston Materials Center

Houston

If you were to look up financial discipline in a dictionary, a picture of Tim Kelley would appear. “Tim has been instrumental in ensuring that the redistribution of material and external sales have increased over 2010 and still into 2011,” explained Materials Manager Christopher Collins. “His efforts have contributed to millions in savings for the company.”

Not only does Tim demonstrate the FIRST core values every day, he manages to do so with a smile from ear to ear.

“If you visit HMC you will immediately notice the camaraderie that is shared between the co-workers and I believe that personal attitude and work ethic is directly attributed to Tim’s role and contagious spirit in the way he manages his business. Tim displays an attitude of optimism and achievement that wants to do the right thing for his people, customers, and for the company at large,” says Mitchell Wallace, Manager, Project Supply Chain, Houston.

Tim strives to do what is best for the company and to ensure achieving our vision at Transocean. “If you do the right things for the right reasons, everything else will fall into place.”

Tim started in the oil industry as a Roustabout years ago and has held several positions such as Catalog Purchasing Manager, Senior Buyer, and now Supply Chain Manger. He feels his greatest accomplishment at Transocean is his commitment to financial discipline.

Tim has been with Transocean for 23 years. He says the best thing about working for Transocean is the great opportunities it has provided. “Transocean has given me a job that has allowed me to experience more than I have ever dreamed of. The people and the knowledge they have really set Transocean apart from other companies.”
